We had the incredible gift of starting a retreat on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and she made her intercession felt from the get-go, leading 14 couples to choose to allow her Son to lead them on a new path toward holiness together through Domestic Church (for 9 months at least!).
There was a sizable crew from St. Theresa in Carlyss, a sign of great things happening in that parish, as well as couples from Queen of Heaven, Christ the King, St. Patrick, and even from Baton Rouge! The two Baton Rouge couples are ready to go "blow it up" back home, and we look forward to the aewsome things God will do for marriages there!
One of the gifts of this movement is the fact that children are truly valued as gifts from God, and every one of these retreats has had a minimum of two little ones to keep us grounded and happy.I guess since these two (Micah Dawson and Gianna Franco) have already attended a married couples retreat together, it's a done deal in about 20 years or so.
Thanks to all who courageously took the step to attend the retreat--you give us so much hope for what God is willing to do to turn our hearts toward our spouses and toward Him! He has more in store for us than we could possibly ask or imagine, and we couldn't be more grateful. May God bless the Sacrament in your home, and may you know His presence in a new way this Christmas!
